What Is It And Who's It For?
BASI Members' Insurance, as the title implies,
is designed exclusively for BASI Members.
BASI Insurance is a Business Professionals insurance policy
designed by snowsports professionals for snowsports professionals.
BASI consulted both Members and Underwriters to provide complete
and comprehensive cover for members working and skiing abroad.
As well as providing trip durations of up to 180 days, which
should cover a whole teaching season, you can even upgrade to 365
days for that 'endless winter'.
BASI Instructors Insurance is also an Annual Multi-Trip policy
that can cover your travel needs throughout the year. If you travel
with your partner or family then you can cover them too.
GAP cover is a Single Trip program designed for those taking
BASI-affiliated training course.

What Does The Instructor Cover Include?
BASI Members' Travel Insurance is professional
business travel insurance specifically designed to cater for the
unique requirements of BASI Members and Associate Members. It
covers all the Snowsports activities you are likely to undertake in
your professional role and during training courses.
Your BASI Travel Insurance policy enables
you to do a lot more than just ski or snowboard. As it is
an Annual Multi-Trip policy, it will also
cover you for other kinds of travel... your summer holidays,
week-end breaks, business trips, and travel for other sporting
activities. Recognising you as sporty people, we've included
hundreds of other sports as standard. Check the whole sports

• Worldwide or Europe
Cover
• 180 days trip duation per trip

• Emergency Medical - Up to £5 million (excess
£100)
• Personal Liability - Up to £2 million (no
excess)
• Cancellation & Curtailment - Up to £5,000
(you can upgrade this to £7,500 or £10,000)
• Delayed Belongings - Up to £250 (no
excess)
• Personal Belongings
- Up to £2,000 (£100 excess)
• Loss of Passport - Up to £500 (excess

What Does The Gap Course Cover Include?
Gap Course cover is Single Trip Travel Insurance designed for
anybody taking a BASI affiliated course. Travel insurance normally
doesn't provide enough cancellation and curtailment cover to match
the cost of a BASI-type gap course but BASI Insurance has designed
this product so that you can taylor your cover for the cost of your
course and the course duration.
Once you've finished the course and qualified, and perhaps got
yourself a position in a ski school, you can purchase the Annual
policy to cover whatever it is you need for the rest of your
teaching year.

WHAT TO DO
On Line:

and go through the Quotation process. It's a simple process and
you'll get a quotation within seconds.

WHAT NOT TO DO
Please do not call BASI. We have taken care to
set up a response system with our underwriters to ensure that you
speak to an insurance professional if you need help. All insurance
providers must be registered and approved by the FSA and the BASI
staff are not able to give advice or consultation
in insurance matters.
